POWER KIDS GYM (previously known as JWT Kids Gym) offers a unique range of programmes for babies, toddlers, nursery and school age children up to 10 years old. We are one of the pioneers in the non-competitive, children’s fitness industry. Our aim is to stimulate your child’s mind and senses through a series of exciting stages. We strongly believe that active bodies results in active minds and develops a greater curiosity of their world.
Loaded with progressive activities, we guarantee laughter and lots of wholesome fun, as we lay the building blocks of your child’s future and keep them on their little toes as they move from one milestone in to the next. Our curriculum, which was first developed in the US and subsequently in Europe, is aimed at helping your child develop and practise physical skills, build strength, stamina and endurance. Our programmes encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills, spatial awareness, coordination, balance, agility, flexibility and good sportsmanship.
We’re focused on
Building a Stimulating and Nurturing Environment, where your child is in safe hands, every step of the way. Most importantly, as they work on their physical, cognitive and emotional skills, they have fun while learning!
Power Kids Gym (previously known as JWT Kids Gym) was brought into Singapore by Philomena Cannon-Brookes in 2004. After living in Hong Kong and in the US for many years, she returned to Singapore to find that children in Singapore were focused so much on academic excellence that they were forgetting about having fun during their childhood. Being a parent herself with 3 young children, she was keen on finding an environment for her children to explore learning through play with emphasis on physical fitness as she firmly believed that children who are physically fit are mentally fit!
Power Kids Gym philosophy is deeply rooted in giving back to the community that in 2014, we created a playroom for Melrose Home (part of Children’s Aid Society); We are also great believers in integrating special needs kids into the mainstream.
Power Kids Gym first opened its doors in December 2004. Our time-tested program was developed by several experts in the children’s industry. Child psychologists, occupational therapists, and experts in the fields of children’s fitness and child development were called upon to contribute their knowledge to the creation of this unique and effective program.
” The Children’s Aid Society would like to express our sincere thanks to you and your team for the beautiful play gym. The children thoroughly enjoy it.
We are honored to be a beneficiary of your commitment to charitable work and look forward to future collaborations with you.
Thank you from all of us at Children’s Aid Society!”

We passionately believe that learning through play allows a child to become more creative and capable of independent thought and decision making. It also enhances the nine forms of intelligences: intra-personal, inter-personal, logical, verbal, spatial, musical, naturalistic, kinesthetic and existential.
Making fitness and learning FUN with variety and excitement.
Being committed to safety and cleanliness.
Building relationships based on integrity and trust.
The staff and management of Power Kids Gym are dedicated to the program, and continue to make inroads on program development which gives us an edge over the present competition.
Children only have one childhood and it is their right to enjoy it!
Ola friends! My name is Zac, the super sporty member of the team. I am power-packed with loads of awesome football tricks (and some hidden singing talent too!).
I have always wanted to make a positive impact to the next generation of little athletes by adding adventure and meaning to their lives. Seeing the happy faces of all the Power boys and girls after a session always makes my day!
My goal at Power Kids Gym is to create the best environment where both you and your little one can venture out of your comfort zones and discover all the things you never thought your child is capable of.
Hey all. My job is to channel the inner jedi of the trainers so that they transform your children into super heroes ready to conquer the world with their agility, strength and silliness. I take my job very seriously to ensure that everyone has loads of fun – staff, children and families who come through our doors.
In my previous life, I was a headhunter and then made the transition of creating an indoor gym for my 3 children who were driving me to the edge of despair with their hyperactivity. They are all now adults but still continue to spin my head around.
I am a certified personal trainer (though these days, I certainly could do with spending more time in the gym) and have also completed the Level 1A Gymnastics Training Qualification. I also had the privilege of being trained in recreational Gymnastics in the US.
Our gliders are well on their way on building a strong foundation in developing their gross and fine motor skills through our structured activities and our free play time. Whether it is holding on to the bars for 15 seconds, climbing the rock wall or working on their upper body strength to do handstands, there is a whole range of activities to challenge them incrementally every week. In the process, they will also learn basic skills such as waiting in turns, sharing and also to interact with others in a positive way. It is all about building their confidence to explore the unknown.
Just as a pony trots and then slowly moves into a gallop our sassy Twos are on an exciting journey of discovering their abilities in an independent way. Though mums and dads are still around to guide them, they will be exposed to pre-gymnastics activities and various sports skills as well as strengthening their skills in manipulative play. The emphasis is on working on physical and social skills where they have to listen and follow directions. They will also be building their knowledge of numbers and letters which will help them with language and vocabulary development. Whether it is through our mega obstacle courses or navigating our climbing ropes, or through drills and games, our twos will improve on their coordination, agility and strength and in that process build their self-esteem and confidence.
The Super Wigglers is designed to introduce toddler to learn through play. This program is instructional and educational, but fun. Our Trainers place emphasis on global, environmental, cultural and ecological themes to enhance knowledge and basic literacy through the use of hands-on activities, nursery rhymes, phonics as well as music and movement, art and craft and social skills in preparation for pre-school.
Our Climbers are gaining greater independence. They are nurtured to face new challenges by our Trainers, who spot them and provide positive encouragement,. This is the class where they are exposed to gymnastic and sports skills, relays and much more. These activities help build up their strength, coordination, flexibility and agility. Ultimately, the goal is to help them have a more positive mindset and to build their confidence in embracing activities individually as well as in teams. Whether it is mastering a handstand, straddle jump or learning to dribble a ball, our 3 year old Climbers will start to develop their fitness levels and are introduced to the concept of good sportsmanship.
Introduces core gymnastics skills such as the forward roll, backward roll, handstands and the single bar in fun ways. This class is a good foundation for children looking to strengthen their basic gymnastic skills. In the process, they are able to gain confidence and build up their self esteem in a non-competitive environment.
This is a progression from the level I class, focusing more on skills, techniques and form. Students will start on moderate activities to advanced level. This program centers around the USA Gymnastics Compulsory Level Preparation Skills framework including the following apparatus: bars, beam, high bar, parallel bars, floor, vault, and rings.
Hey friends! I am Farah, the youngest and spunkiest in the team! I sing randomly at times and enjoy goofing around. Challenge me to a sing-off or sing along with me!
I have always had a passion in coaching kids as I enjoy every single moment of it. Seeing, coaching and interacting with children for my work just brings a smile to my face, even though you probably cannot see it as I am wearing a mask.
I joined the Power Team as part of my diploma education and I look forward to all the learning opportunities here.
